In commemoration of Stonewall 50 and World Refugee Day, AfroNYC in collaboration with Black LGBTQ+ Migrant Project (BLMP) is hosting an informal networking event that will showcase the stories of Black LGBTQ+ migrants, especially those who are asylees, refugees, undocumented/under-documented, etc., in the USA. In a relaxing environment, using contemporary art forms and story telling, Black LGBTQ+ migrants will create a space where guests can connect with them, gain insight on the growing global LGBTQ+ migration crisis, and learn how these individuals have built new homes and lives in the USA.
